Hello! I just got a new iMac. I’m using Chrome and I get ALL THE TIME this pop-up mini windows on my browser with really loud and annoying music! Its some kind of malware right? I dont feel like installing MacKeeper or one of those programs. So do you know any other alternative to remove this pain? Thanks!!
- I'm not aware of any malware on Macs targeting Chrome or doing anything pop-up related like what you explained. You are either visiting a website (maybe as start page) that creates this popup or you have an Extension or Chrome App installed doing it.Hovsep already linked the guide on how to disable pop-ups per default.
If that doesn't work try removing all Apps and Extensions from Chrome.
As a final resort, create a new Chrome user profile.
